Lauren Morrison has been an associate with Polatsek, Counsellors At Law since April, 2006. Ms. Morrison is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of the State of New York and by the Supreme Court of the State of Florida. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Ms. Morrison was born and raised in New York. In 1996, she graduated summa cum laude from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Thereafter, she attended St. John’s University School of Law located in Queens, New York and obtained a Juris Doctor degree in 2001. Since 2003, Ms. Morrison has been practicing exclusively in Immigration Law and has represented clients throughout the tri-state area before relocating to South Florida in January, 2006.

Since joining Polatsek, Counsellors At Law, Ms. Morrison has practiced extensively in the preparation and processing of work related nonimmigrant visas, including Treaty Trader and Investor visas (E-1 and E-2 visas), Professional employment visas (H-1B and L-1 visas) as well as J-1, O, P and Religious Based (R-1) visas. Ms. Morrison also has considerable experience related to employment based and family based immigrant visa petitions.

Ms. Morrison has extensive experience appearing on behalf of clients in deportation and removal proceedings before the U.S. Immigration Court. This includes motion practice, applications for bonds, and conducting hearings as well as preparing and filing briefs before the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Ms. Morrison serves as a part-time adjunct faculty member at Nova Southeastern University and Broward College where she teaches the subject of Immigration Law to aspiring paralegals in Paralegal Programs accredited by the American Bar Association. She is also an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Outside of the office, Ms. Morrison enjoys international travel, days at the beach and spending time at home with her husband, son and two dogs.
