Mr. Frederick Polatsek
MANAGING ATTORNEY
Mr. Frederick Polatsek brings over 31 years of exclusive experience in U.S. immigration and nationality law. Since joining the firm in 1993, he has been a cornerstone of its growth and success—helping define its ethical foundation, detail-oriented practice style, and unwavering commitment to client care.
Mr. Polatsek has played a vital role in transforming the lives of countless individuals and the direction of numerous companies by guiding them through complex immigration processes. His work spans a broad range of legal matters, including employment-based and family-based immigration, naturalization, humanitarian relief, and removal defense. He also represents clients in audits of immigration related corporate practices, site visits, and federal litigation, challenging delays and decisions by immigration agencies.
Throughout his career, Mr. Polatsek has remained focused on delivering principled legal solutions with clarity, compassion, and professionalism.
Mr. Polatsek earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1975 and his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1980. He has been licensed to practice law in New York since 1981 and is also licensed in Florida.

As a Partner at Polatsek Boheme & Wilkowski, Mr. Boheme leads the firm with a deep commitment to the ethical values and client-focused approach established by its founder. With over 25 years of exclusive experience in U.S. immigration and nationality law, he plays a key role in guiding the firm’s vision and mentoring its attorneys.
Of Costa Rican and French descent and fluent in Spanish, Mr. Boheme brings both cultural insight and legal precision to his practice. Since joining the firm in 2002, he has built a trusted reputation in employment-based and family-based immigration, investor and professional visas, the PERM (Labor Certification) process, naturalization, etc. He also has experience representing clients in removal proceedings as well as federal litigation, challenging government delays and arbitrary immigration decisions.
Mr. Boheme began his legal career working with immigrant communities in Memphis, Tennessee, and later served as an Assistant District Attorney in Shelby County before relocating to Florida.
He earned his bachelor’s degree cum laude and his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Florida and the Western District of Tennessee.

As a Partner at Polatsek Boheme & Wilkowski, Ms. Wilkowski brings focus, integrity, and compassion to every client she serves. Since joining the firm in 2014, she has practiced exclusively in U.S. immigration and nationality law, continuing the firm’s mission of principled, thoughtful advocacy for individuals, families, and employers.
Ms. Wilkowski guides clients through complex and personal immigration matters. Her practice includes employment-based and family-based immigration, investor and professional visas, the PERM process, naturalization, etc.
Ms. Wilkowski earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics, summa cum laude, from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. A standout collegiate athlete, she was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year, State Farm All-America Honorable Mention, and Hamline’s Female Athlete of the Year. In 2023, she was inducted into the Hamline University Athletic Hall of Fame.
She received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.

Mr. Polatsek founded the firm in 1983. With over 47 years of exclusive practice in U.S. immigration and nationality law, he has built a legacy defined by ethical excellence, strategic insight, and unwavering dedication to clients navigating immigration transitions.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Polatsek has represented a wide range of clients—from individual families to Fortune 500 companies—helping them manage the legal and human complexities of building a future in the United States. Known for his deep understanding of immigration strategy, he has guided thousands through work visas, green cards, naturalization, waivers, removal defense, and beyond.
His specialties include strategic planning for multinational transfers (L-1), investor and treaty trader visas (E-2 and E-1), professional employment visas (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, TN), and extraordinary ability or international recognition visas (O and P). His work also extends to family- and employment-based immigrant visa cases, naturalization, complex waivers, and removal proceedings.
Mr. Polatsek’s reputation as a legal strategist has made him a sought-after speaker. He has lectured extensively to social, civic, business, and international groups across the U.S. on evolving immigration topics and policy developments.
He earned his undergraduate degree with honors in history from the University of Wisconsin, continued his studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and received his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1976.
Mr. Polatsek is admitted to practice in Florida and New York, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of New York, the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Eleventh Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ms. Noris Escudero has been a valued member of Polatsek Boheme & Wilkowski since 2012. As a Senior Paralegal, she plays a vital role in the preparation and processing of employment-based and family-based immigration matters, working closely with the firm’s attorneys to support clients through every step of the immigration process.
Born in Venezuela and raised in the United States from the age of six, Ms. Escudero brings both personal understanding and professional dedication to her work. Fluent in both Spanish and English, she is known for her responsiveness, attention to detail, and deep respect for the individuals and families she serves.
Ms. Escudero assists in preparing petitions and applications before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of Labor, and the National Visa Center. Her experience includes permanent labor certifications (PERM), immigrant visa petitions across categories such as EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3, and nonimmigrant visa cases including H-1B, L-1, O, P, and R-1. She is also skilled in family-based green card applications and adjustment of status filings.

Ms. Sindy C. Quintero has been part of the team at Polatsek Boheme & Wilkowski since 2017. She supports the firm’s attorneys in the preparation and filing of a wide range of immigration and naturalization petitions, serving clients with care, clarity, and diligence.
Originally from Honduras, Ms. Quintero moved to the United States at the age of seventeen and was raised in Miami, Florida. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and brings both cultural understanding and professional commitment to her role.
Ms. Quintero assists with drafting petitions, applications, affidavits, and translations in support of immigration and citizenship filings. Her collaborative approach and clear communication style help ensure that clients understand each step of their process.
Ms. Quintero earned her Associate degree in Paralegal Studies (ABA Approved) from Miami-Dade College and her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. With over a decade of experience as a paralegal, she brings insight and focus to every matter she handles.

Originally from Brazil, Ms. Oliveira immigrated to the United States at the age of 14 and is now a proud U.S. citizen. Fluent in both Portuguese and English, she brings a deep personal connection to her work and a strong understanding of the immigrant experience. Her passion for immigration law is rooted in her belief that everyone deserves a fair opportunity to build a future in the United States.

Ms. Brenda Galan first started with Polatsek Boheme and Wilkowski in 2021 as a Law Clerk. Due to her exceptional competence and initiative, she advanced rapidly from a law clerk position to Paralegal. Ms. Galan supports the attorneys by assisting in the preparation and processing of immigration-related petitions and applications.
Born and raised in South Florida by immigrant parents, Ms. Galan is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is a first-generation college graduate and holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with honors, from Florida International University.
Ms. Galan brings dedication, professionalism, and a strong sense of purpose to her work, helping ensure clients receive timely and attentive support throughout their immigration process.

Mrs. Yadira Anderson joined Polatsek Boheme & Wilkowski in June 2023 and brings a strong commitment to the firm’s values of preparation, integrity, and excellence. As Paralegal, she assists in the preparation of a variety of employment-based and family-based immigration matters.
Originally from Cuba, Mrs. Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from the Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technologies in Havana and worked for over six years as a weather forecaster. Her passion for languages led her to study English, French, and Portuguese, and she is fluent in Spanish.
After relocating to the United States and gaining experience at a U.S. law firm, she pursued further education in the legal field and earned a Master of Arts in Law from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Mrs. Anderson has developed experience across several areas of immigration law, including family-based petitions, nonimmigrant visa applications, employment based applications and removal proceedings. She has a particular interest in Treaty Trader and Investor visas, and she is passionate about helping others navigate the immigration process and pursue new opportunities in the United States.

Ms. Zynia Gotay joined Polatsek Boheme & Wilkowski in July 2023, bringing with her a strong background in customer service and office administration across a range of industries. As the firm’s Receptionist, she is often the first point of contact for clients and takes pride in creating a welcoming and supportive experience for everyone who reaches out to the firm.
A native of New York City and the descendant of Puerto Rican parents, Ms. Gotay is bilingual in English and Spanish. She relocated to Florida in 1996 after visiting on a high school trip and making the Sunshine State her home.
Ms. Gotay studied language arts and communication at LaGuardia College in New York, Valencia College in Orlando, and Miami Dade College. She brings warmth, professionalism, and a strong commitment to client service to her role every day.
