Keilla Colombo
Keilla Colombo began working as a paralegal at Polatsek, Counsellors at Law in June 2020. She was born in Brazil and moved to the United States at the age of twelve. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. As an immigrant herself, Ms. Colombo understands the immigration process firsthand and is committed to helping our clients achieve success.
Ms. Colombo earned a Paralegal Certificate from Florida Atlantic University and is now a Registered Paralegal by the Florida Bar and a Certified Paralegal by National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). In addition, Ms. Colombo is currently pursuing an Associate of Arts degree at Valencia College and plans to transfer to the University of Central Florida to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration.
For the past decade, Ms. Colombo has worked side-by-side with foreign nationals on U.S immigration matters. In her role as a paralegal, she supports our attorneys with preparation of a wide range of non- immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including, but not limited to: H-1B Specialty Occupation, L-1 Intracompany visa, E-2 Treaty Investor visa, O and P visas, as well as I-140 Immigrant Petitions with accompanying Adjustment of Status (I-485), PERM Labor Certification with the Department of Labor, employment-based and family-based permanent residency matters, Consular Processing, Citizenship, etc. She also possesses extensive knowledge and experience working with clients that have been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and are in removal proceedings before the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR).
