LAUREN J. MORRISON
Lauren Morrison joined Polatsek, Counselors at Law in April 2006. As a senior attorney with the firm, she practices in all areas of immigration law including non-immigrant visa petitions, family-based and employment-based immigrant visa petitions, waiver applications, consular processing and naturalization applications. She also has expertise in defending individuals in removal proceedings and has great success in representing clients in Custody Redetermination Hearings and Cancellation of Removal cases before the Executive Office for Immigration Review.
Ms. Morrison was born and raised in New York. In 1996, she graduated summa cum laude from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Thereafter, she attended St. John’s University School of Law located in Queens, New York and obtained a Juris Doctor degree in 2001. Since 2003, Ms. Morrison has been practicing exclusively in Immigration Law and has represented clients throughout the tri-state area before relocating to South Florida in January, 2006. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida, State of New York and the United States District Court, Southern District of New York, and Southern District of Florida.
Ms. Morrison also served as a part-time adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University and Broward College where she taught the subject of Immigration Law to aspiring paralegals in Paralegal Programs accredited by the American Bar Association.
Outside of the office, Ms. Morrison enjoys international travel, days at the beach and spending time at home with her family and dogs.
