Founder of Polatsek, Counsellors-at-Law in 1983, Mr. Polatsek has over 47 years of exclusive practice in immigration and nationality law.

Mr. Polatsek graduated with honors in history from the University of Wisconsin. He continued his education at the London School of Economics and Political Science. In 1976, he graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School.

Mr. Polatsek’s bar admissions have included the State of Florida, State of New York, U.S. District Court for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York and for the Southern District of Florida, and for the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second and Eleventh Circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Polatsek has lectured widely to social, civic, corporate and international business groups throughout the United States on a wide range of immigration topics. Over the past 47 years leading the firm, Mr. Polatsek has acquired extensive experience and expertise counseling and representing clients ranging from individual family petitioners to Fortune 500 companies from across the United States and around the world.

Mr. Polatsek’s specialty is in-depth planning and strategizing for the immigration process as a whole to ensure an optimal management and handling of the risks and obstacles associated with the transition to life in the United States. His extensive expertise includes non-immigrant visa applications for multinational transfers (L-1 visas), investors/  entrepreneurs, and treaty trader visas (E-1s / E-2s), visas for professionals (H-1B, H-1B1 (Chile & Singapore), E-3, and TN visas), extra-ordinary ability and international recognition (O and P visas respectively), family and employment-based immigrant visa cases, removal proceedings, waivers, and naturalization.
