Harry D. Polatsek is the founder and has been the managing attorney of Polatsek, Counsellors at Law since its inception in 1983, with over thirty five years’ experience practicing exclusively in immigration and nationality law.

Mr. Polatsek was born in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated with honors in history from the University of Wisconsin. He continued his education at the London School of Economics and Political Science. In 1976, he graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School. While at Brooklyn Law, Mr. Polatsek was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and a participant on the law school’s national tax team. He began his legal career working with immigrants in New York City and continued practicing there for several years before relocating to Florida in 1982 and establishing Polatsek, Counsellors at Law in 1983. Mr. Polatsek has lectured widely to social, civic, corporate and international business groups throughout the United States on a wide range of immigration topics.

With a team of specialized attorneys and a multi-lingual staff, Mr. Polatsek represents clients ranging from individual family petitioners to Fortune 500 companies from across the United States and around the world. His specialty is in-depth planning for the immigration process as a whole in order to best manage the risks associated with the transition to life in the United States. Specific case types receiving special attention include non-immigrant visa applications such as extra-ordinary ability, investors and entrepreneur visas, family- and employment-based immigrant visa applications, removal proceedings, waivers, and naturalization.

His bar admissions include: State of Florida, State of New York, U.S. District Court-Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York and Southern District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second and Eleventh Circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
